Hey kids!
There is still some summer left in the air. And when winter comes this Hawaii shirt sure will remind me of vacation! What more do a girl need than a hysterical print of neon palm trees and LA beach?

The Hawaii shirt and the shoes are bought on the one and only Swedish flea market Galoppisen. The high waisted shorts was a find I found in Solnahallen Megaloppis. Megaloppisen is a flea market that has unique and collectible items mixed with garage sale stuff. I adore it! It is just twice a year in Sweden and it is actually coming up in two weeks - 5th and 6th October! Be sure not to miss it if you are around visiting Stockholm! I sure won't!

I do have many dresses at home but this is by far my favorite one.
This is a nightgown from the early 1900:s. The fabric is true cotton and it falls like a heavy sheet would. That's because this gorgeous thing probably has been a sheet once and than been transformed to nightclothes when the time has called for it. The shoulder straps are hand made lace, it is "knypplat" as we say in Swedish. Knyppla is an old lace tradition, like tatting. This kind of lace was popular to use on linens in the beginning of the 1900th centuary in Sweden.

It is rare to find a so old vintage nightgown that feels so loved and yet has no spots or tears. I feel a bit silly but every time I put it on I feel moved by it and it's history.
I bought it on one of my favorite vintage boutiques in Stockholm: Old Touch. Old Touch has a lot, a lot of rare items in a very small place. Though it's very much to look at the store is still very looked after and they display new stuff like every month.I can go there for hours. This dress cost me around 52 dollar, which felt like nothing.

And a tip if you are going to a Gatsby party or a 1920:s theme soon - here you can rent your whole 1920:s outfit for 250 crowns, which is about 37 dollar.

I have a had a craving for a see thru shirt for a while. Finally I found one. For the serious money of 1 dollar this was bought in the flea market that I'm always raving about: Galoppisen. However the shorts are from Monki and the top was also something I actually bought for full price in a store for once. Hope you enjoy, guys!

So last weekend we had a big birthday party for my friend Kris. The theme was The Great Gatsby and Cabaret and I have always visioned what I would like to wear at a party like that. I had to search a long time to find something that matched my vision though. But here it is - a vintage sequin showgirl body! It is a sparkling vintage dress in silver and black. They are not very easy to come across and even on Etsy I had to look for a while to find some to choose from. But I did find one at ZoomVintage and it is totally covered in sequins and it the pattern in front reminds of a tie which makes me think of the cigarette girls in the 1930:s and 1940:s. The feather in my hair is a headpiece from around the 1920:s in lovely condition. I found it in the vintage flea market in Solna last year that I mentioned before. I will publish some photos of it in color in the future. But I really couldn't wait - I want to show you some of the gorgeous pictures that Michaela Lindén took on this night.

Who doesn't want a two piece mariner's outfit with high waisted pants? And who doesn't want it in the most kitschy pattern ever? Yes, it is yellow and it has palm trees, a chick and a parrots on it. Just lovely!

So okay, I can imagine a few persons were this outfit wouldn't be a must in their wardrobe, but I can assure that is the case for me now! I found this in an antique and vintage fair in Solna last year. It was the first one at this location and unfortunately I don't think any more will take place there. Lucky for us we have the vintage fair in Stockholm from Bakåt:framåt twice a year, next one coming up in September! And Solna still has the Megaloppis - a huge vintage market which also comes around every autumn and spring. Now the date is set the 5th and 6th October! Don't miss is for the world is you are in Stockholm - they have clothes but also a lot of great china, furniture and collectible items. I can't wait!

This gorgeous thing is from the 1947:s collection "Le Gant - Merry Widow" of Warner's.
Warner's has made beautiful underwear since 1874 and has made a huge mark on the lingerie fashion since (for example they were the ones who launched the "alphabet bras", the ones we know today by A, B, C, D cups, you know). I guess that's what a company need to do to survive all the twists and turns of two three centuries.

I found the corset in Hollywood, at the sunday market of Melrose. If there is anywhere that you can't miss when you are in LA, it is this sunday market! It blew my mind! They had lovely clothes - and actually a lot from the 1920:s, 1930:s that I find is hard to find in Sweden. They also had beautiful mirrors, furniture and mannequins. This corset was bought for like 25 dollars, maybe less. So if you are interested in second hand and vintage, don't miss it! You can see some pictures down below, so you see what I mean. And if you want to know more about lingerie from the past, the evolution of the corset and Warner's history - take a peek here. It can say a lot of women's history too.

Hey kids!

It's summer, it is work but most of all it is outside time with friends so I don't spend a lot of time in front of a screen right now. But I feel my fingers itching when it comes to show you some of the finds that is bound to come with summer flea markets!

This is a jump suit that I bought at the Galoppis in Täby, just outside Stockholm. It was an old lady who sold it, and I just love the tropical pattern all over! It makes me wanna dance ugly dances (the best pieces do).

Galoppisen is by far my favorite flea market in the summer. It is a boot sale with so many cars that you get both happy and faintly feelings at the same time when you arrive. Everything is super cheap - so my wardrobe is kind on it's breaking point (maybe I should sell some of my own soon). This jump suit set me back 4 dollars, the flea market is open every saturday and sunday 12.00-04.00 pm all summer! A must!
